Track racing chain "IZUMI-V/-KAI"

Driven resistance is reduced to the limit with unique technology! This is a product that emphasizes functionality.

Introducing the track racing chain developed for top athletes in cycling, the 'IZUMI-V/-KAI'. The conventional bicycle track racing chain 'IZUMI-V' has received high praise from top athletes around the world for many years. The 'IZUMI-KAI' is an improved version based on the 'IZUMI-V', designed to have even less drive resistance. Both chains feature a unique technology that minimizes drive resistance. The power from pedaling is transmitted efficiently, resulting in effective pedaling force. 'IZUMI-V' - Experience a direct feel of the power transmitted from the pedals. - Decorated with a beautiful gold/black design. 'IZUMI-KAI' - Enjoy a smooth and light feel. - Decoration is eliminated, focusing solely on functionality. Both chains are developed for competitive use. [Case Study] Development of a chain with minimized driving resistance for top-speed performance.

We would like to introduce a case where we received a request to develop a chain for track events with reduced drive resistance.

We would like to introduce a case where we developed a chain that reduces drive resistance to the limit and is among the fastest in the world. In preparation for a world competition, we received a request for a product that exceeds the conventional "IZUMI-V." Previously, a rolling bushing was used, and there was no particular surface treatment applied. It was necessary to lower the drive resistance without compromising the chain's functionality. We needed to perform surface treatment to reduce sliding resistance only on the inside of the bushing, and we considered a process where the entire bushing would be treated, followed by the removal of surface treatment from only the outside. We achieved a 20% reduction in sliding resistance and received positive evaluations for using this developed product as the chain for the actual competition. [Case Overview] ■ Request: A product that exceeds the conventional IZUMI-V ■ Challenge: It was necessary to lower drive resistance without compromising chain functionality ■ Result: 20% reduction in sliding resistance *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
